YOUTHS hurled petrol bombs at a school building in another arson attack on the Blacon estate.

The attack took place at St Theresa's Primary School in Kipling Road in the early hours of Sunday and three petrol bombs were launched.

Chester firefighters were called to the scene when residents reported a fire on the school grounds.

Members of the brigade found discarded milk bottles half filled with petrol.

The youths had thrown the bombs against the walls of the school scorching some of the bricks on one side of the building.

Firefighter Andy Spencer said: 'There was no extensive damage but arson attacks in Blacon is a concern of ours. We would try to persuade everyone to steer clear from dangerous things such as petrol bombs.'

Police have been informed of the incident and say they are taking the matter seriously.
