Emily jumps to silver glory at pony jumping championships

Neston teenager Emily Ward has  been competing at the Pony European Jumping Championships in Arezzo in Italy.

Emily, 14, was riding her father Nick’s eight-year-old chestnut gelding King Mac as part of the British Pony Team riding under the Team Fairfax banner which went on to  win team silver.

GB Pony Chef d’Equipe, Katrina  Moore, said: “We won a team silver against incredibly strong teams and Germany were always going to be the one to beat.”
