ELLESMERE Port women who took part in Tesco and Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life are urged to make every step count – by returning their sponsorship money as soon as possible.
Event manager Helen Wright is encouraging the women who entered the event in Chester city centre on JuneŠ19 to make one last dash for cash.
Last year just under half the women who took part in Race for Life didn’t return any sponsorship money.
Cancer Research UK relies on money raised through Race for Life to fund lifesaving research.
Every hour about four people are diagnosed with cancer in the North West. But the good news is that research, funded through Chester Race for Life, is helping men, women and children to survive the disease.
