SEA and Royal Marine Cadets from Ellesmere Port are inviting residents to a day of family fun.

The free celebration will take place on Saturday, June 2, at the TS Forward Training Centre, off Capenhurst Lane.

An action-packed programme of events will include pony rides, a bouncy castle, classic cars, vintage fire engines and a fancy dress competition.

Party-goers will also have the chance to pet the residents of Parkgate Pony Sanctuary and enjoy a variety of stalls, a tug of war and a puppet show.

Entertainment will be provided by the Great Sutton Male Voice Choir.

New mayor Cllr Pat Merrick, who will be attending the event, said: “This is the second year running that the cadets have run this spring fete and following on from last year’s success, I would encourage local residents to come along for what promises to be a really great day.

“The event not only helps raise much-needed funds for local charities, but offers the local community a family day of fun that doesn’t cost the Earth.”

The fete will take place from 11am-4pm, with free parking provided at nearby Ellesmere Port Catholic High School.
