Pals organise fun day and charity night to help friend with leukaemia
Friends from Ellesmere Port are fundraising to help a young woman who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Laura Jayne Clarke, Lynsey Parker, Beki Gregory, Katie Browse, Kelly Butler, Lauren Irving, Nikki Bartley and Fiona Randell have organised bag packing and charity events to raise funds to help their friend Jenny Clibery, who was diagnosed with leukaemia six weeks ago.
Jenny, 25, of Great Sutton, is undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the Countess of Chester hospital.
The friends have organised a fun day on November 2 at the greyhound stadium and a charity night at Whitby Sports & Social Club on November 22.
The fun day, from 1-5pm will have raffles, sponsored leg waxes, head shaves, cake sales, car washes, bouncy castles and face painting.
Laura said: “ We are raising money to help Jenny with her living costs and we have also have been in contact with the charity Leukaemia Care and have promised to make a donation to them too as they have helped us and Jenny with their support.”
