ELLESMERE Port and Neston’s MP Andrew Miller heaped praise on his party leader Ed Milliband at the Labour conference last week.

Speaking from the event in Manchester, Mr Miller said: “The address was wide ranging covering his beliefs on the economy, education, employment and the NHS.

“He also laid down a straight forward warning to the banks to get their house in order.

“He has illustrated understanding of our nation weaving in the profound difficulties faced by his own parents fleeing from the Nazis. He used this to explain why he is so proud of being part of Great Britain.

“The address lasted 65 minutes without notes, tying the theme of his vision for a ‘One Nation’ Britain that is based upon strong moral values to the story of his life and his experiences with state education, the strengths of our NHS and the need for us to leave our country in a better state for future generations.”
