Do you think any action is required on the M56 motorway between junctions 14 and 12, in light of the number of traffic collisions on that stretch over the past six months?

There seems to have been a rather disproportionate amount of accidents on this stretch of the M56, sadly resulting in a number of fatalities and injuries.

I would like to see a review of safety on this stretch, to ascertain what actually is happening.

Do you think Weaver Vale’s green spaces are suitable for developments such as Frodsham Wind Farm, Ince Resource Recovery Park and the proposed Hapsford Solar Farm?

I am utterly opposed to wind farms and certainly don’t want to see any more built on our green and pleasant land, although I support recycling and reliable forms of renewable energy production, I don’t want to see our green spaces being bulldozed, especially for incinerators.

There needs to be a bigger push to develop brownfield sites and also to put the concerns of local people first.

How would you support the delivery of the Halton Curve and improve rail travel in Weaver Vale?

Investing in the local rail network is far more advantageous to the local community than the building of HS2 – Ukip would scrap HS2.

In light of the lack of evening and Sunday bus services in parts of Halton, especially Beechwood, the coming on line of the train service which will have a station in Beechwood is very important.

This will help those seeking employment in the Chester and Liverpool area and deliver a much-needed service.

Is it fair that motorists in Weaver Vale have to pay to use certain roads, for example the Silver Jubilee and Mersey Gateway bridges?

It’s not fair at all, the motorist already pays through the nose.

The tolls will add greatly to the costs of travel to people who use the bridges to get to work, visit family and access hospital services, many people from Frodsham and Helsby attend Warrington Hospital.

It will also add terrible congestion to Warrington as people use that route to avoid tolls.

Ukip are opposed to tolls and would scrap them, along with hospital car parking charges.
