CANNABIS, class A drugs and flat screen TVs were seized during a series of warrants in Ellesmere Port.

Four drugs warrants were executed early on Friday evening.

A 54-year-old man was arrested and bailed for cultivation of cannabis at a house on Plemston Court, Rivacre. Police searched the property and discovered £5,000 worth of cannabis grown and cropped drying out.

Cannabis and grinders were found in a raid on Eccleston Avenue and enquiries are ongoing to find the suspect responsible.

Another warrant at Redhills Mews uncovered 11 wraps of class A drugs and a 38-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to supply. He was released on police bail.

Another drugs warrant on Charles Price Gardens found nothing incriminating.

A theft warrant carried out by seven officers at Dove Close, Ellesmere Port ended with the seizure of two flat screen TVs seized while no arrests were made.

Two laptops were taken from a house on Thornleigh Drive Ellesmere Port, during a warrant there.

Inspector Brian Green, of Ellesmere Port NPU said: “Drug distribution and use is a blight on our communities and we remain committed to tackling the issue in Ellesmere Port. We can't do this without the help of the public who provide information and intelligence about those involved in drug dealing.

“Information from members of the public is vital in the fight against drug related crime and we would urge the people of Cheshire to support the efforts of local officers.”
