PEOPLE who find themselves in financial difficulty, or are experiencing problems with rent or mortgage payments should seek help and advice immediately.

Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) in partnership with Shelter Cymru and The Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB) says it is vital to get expert help and advice as quickly as possible.

The Citizen Advice Bureau and Shelter Cymru have experienced debt and housing advisers, and Wrexham County Borough Council have housing options officers to provide advice to anyone with housing difficulties.

Shelter Cymru also provides a case worker who attends county court possession hearings.

Cllr Mark Pritchard, lead member for housing and planning, said: “These are difficult times for many of us and I would encourage those who are facing problems paying their rent or mortgage to contact the organisations below as soon as possible and not leave it until the problem becomes unmanageable.”
