THE panto Dick Whittington was performed for a children's hospice last week.

A drama company called Northop Presents staged their own version of the production in Northop and the chosen charity was the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford.

Amanda Le Bretton, from the hospice, attended the opening night and said: “The show was absolutely fantastic and so funny from start to finish. “I was delighted that the Hospice of the Good Shepherd was chosen as the group’s charity for 2009 and my sincere thanks goes to the cast and everyone involved in the production of Dick Whittington, also to everyone who went to see the show”.
