A LITTLE piece of Christmas magic came to the Port Arcades in Ellesmere Port with a visit from the delightful children’s character The Snowman.
The character, created by Raymond Briggs in the book of the same name, tells the adventure of a little boy called James who finds that a snowman he has built magically comes to life.
The pair embark on a mystical adventure that takes them all over the world and ends with James meeting Father Christmas.
The story has become one of Britain’s most loved animated films which no Christmas Day is complete without watching.
The Snowman’s guest appearance in the shopping centre on Saturday signalled the start of the festive season at the Port Arcades.
Centre manger Les Lyon said: “We are delighted that The Snowman came to the shopping centre.
“The book and the film are unforgettable Christmas classics and the children of Ellesmere Port enjoyed meeting him.”
