TV STAR and comedian Russell Kane will be hoping to hit the right note with revellers next week.

But while the funnyman is familiar with the city, having previously performed at the Laugh Inn, the Propaganda night at Cruise nightclub, St John Street, Chester, will present a new venue and a new challenge next Thursday.

‘MJ’ Sellers, Chester city manager for Propaganda, said: “Russell is coming as part of his UK tour, where he will be doing an hour-long DJ set.

“Before he went on this tour, he took a few classes with DJ Dan, the creator of Propaganda. DJ Dan is one of the biggest DJs in the UK, and has done after-show parties for bands such as Oasis.

“Russell has picked up DJing very quickly and wants to pursue this more as he has such a great ear for music.

“It is the first time Russell is coming to this club and the reaction we have had has been incredible. People have been sharing the news on Facebook and giving it retweets on Twitter.”

Tickets are £3 if bought online at propaganda.fatsoma.com, £4 for students on the door and £5 for other guests.
