YALE College opened its doors to the public and was bowled over by keen learners of all ages.

Initially focussing upon GCSE students progressing to A- level and vocational studies, the college launched its full-time prospectus to outline the opportunities available at their Grade 1 college.

Offering a wide range of routes to further education and job opportunities from entry level right up to higher education courses, the college harnessed its organisational skills and facilitated more than 2,000 enquiries.

Faculties offered information with presentations, handouts and one-to-one discussions to help students discover what is on offer.

Supported by Careers Wales the College interviewed hundreds of potential applicants.

Jane Rayner, marketing officer at the college, said: “Undeterred by the flagging economy, it seems a huge element of learners are determined to be ready for action as employment opportunities open up when we move out of “recession” mode.”
