COLEEN Rooney was among the thousands of racegoers enjoying the sunshine at Chester Racecourse.
More than 40,000 visitors enjoyed the two-day meeting at Chester Racecourse with ladies evening on Friday.
Ladies Evening included the best dressed lady competition hosted by Hollyoaks stars Jessica Fox (Nancy) and Stephen Upall (Ravi).Š
More than 350 ladies dressed to impress to enter the annual competition offering Šprizes worth more than £2,000.Š Ten finalists were selected and the final prize giving took place in the newly redesigned Parade Ring.
The winner was Ashleigh Connolly, of Chester, who won a £500 John Lewis voucher and a beauty hamper worth £500.
Coleen Rooney also attended with family and friends in a private box in the County Stand.
The Trafford Centre Midsummer Meeting on Saturday was the busiest fixture to date this year with about 29,000 people heading to the racecourse to enjoy a day of glorious sunshine.Š
Leiba Leiba, ridden by Franny Norton, took the first race of the day, the Trafford Centre Always Ahead Novice Stakes, by a nose.
Chester Race Company head of marketing and communications, Rob March, said: “This has been a great end to the two-day fixture, the weather has been amazing and everyone has really enjoyed themselves.”
