Chester schools  that are signed up  to Go Orange for  Orangutans have  been fundraising  for a Chronicle  backed campaign.

Westminster Community school  have pledged support to help save  orangutans from extinction by  funding valuable cameras that can  track orangs in Malaysia.

The school raised £110 for the  project when pupils and teachers  dressed up in orange last week.

Sue Finch headteacher at the  school said: “We had a great day  today at Westminster Community  Primary School.

“We invited the  children to dress in  orange to raise  money for  orangutans and held a cake sale.  “At lunchtime our popular Family  Lunch event was orange themed  and our children enjoyed having  their adults as guests.

She added: “We have raised £110 for  this cause through our activities.”
