Playfighting between two of Chester Zoo’s jaguars has been captured in dramatic fashion.
Ian Hughes was able to snap the fantastic photos on a recent visit.
The two jaguars are the four-year-old spotted male, Napo, and the three-year-old black female, Goshi.
Mr Hughes said: “I was amazed to see them.
“I’ve been three times before and never seen one, apart from it’s backside protruding from behind the bushes.”
Napo and Goshi appear to be fighting over a bamboo toy, with the male taking the spoils.
Chester Zoo said this behaviour happens all the time and the scrap was nothing unusual.
