With an increasing number of people requiring care at home, Stephen Mosley MP gained first-hand experience of the challenge to look after the vulnerable in Chester by shadowing a Bluebird care worker on a recent dementia care visit.

Mr Mosley shadowed a Bluebird care supervisor, along with care manager Lorraine Kingham, on a scheduled visit to one of their customers, Chester resident Frances Lee.

Speaking after the care visit, the Chester MP said: “High quality care is something that matters to all of us – we don’t want anybody in our family or in our community to be left without the support they need.”

“That’s why I’m so keen to see the front line of care delivery in our communities. It’s the best way for me, as an MP, to realise the needs of our community.”

Mr Mosley then joined the team back at Bluebird Care Cheshire West & Chester HQ to present two employees – Karen Gorst and Lucia Olosova – with the ‘Fantastic Feedback Award.’ The awards are given to employees about whom Bluebird Care has received outstanding feedback from its customers.

Speaking after Mr Mosley’s visit, Simon Robinson, Director of Bluebird Care Cheshire West & Chester said:

“I want to say thank to Stephen for supporting the presentation of certificates to two of our carers today. The carers were ‘chuffed to bits’ with the recognition.”

“I hope that Stephen found his time with us interesting and a worthwhile insight into the front line of home care.”
