COULD you open up your home and your life to a vulnerable teenager in need of comfort and stability?

As part of its foster carer recruitment campaign, Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking more people to look after young people aged between 12 and 16, either for a short period or until they reach adulthood.

The authority is holding an information evening for people who would like to find out more about the role.

The drop-in event is on Tuesday, September 27, at Cheshire County Sports Club, Plas Newton Lane, Upton, from 6-8pm.

There are many young people in Cheshire West who, for a number of reasons, are unable to live with their families.

Foster carers provide the security of a safe, caring home and support and guidance to help them move on from their past and make the right decisions about their future.

Anyone over the age of 21 can foster, regardless of whether they are married or single, own their own home or are renting, are unemployed or work full-time.

If you would like to attend the event, register by calling 01244 972222 or via www.fosteringwestcheshire.co.uk.
