CUSTOMERS of Wrexham Council's cash office now have a refurbished modern facility in which to carry out their transactions.

The office has undergone extensive refurbishment and has been formally opened by Wrexham Mayor David Rogers.

The work was necessary to make the office comply with the Disability Discrimination and Health and Safety at Work Acts and has created a light, accessible and safe environment to visit and work.

'The new cash office will provide a modern facility for the 21st Century that can be accessed by all customers of Wrexham County Borough Council,' said Cllr Rogers.

'On behalf of the cash office team, I would like to thank the customers for their patience during the time that it took the works to be completed.'

The facilities include a lowered counter for access for people in wheelchairs, three different levels for carrying out transactions, induction loops for people with hearing problems and a new interview room with greater space for wheelchairs or prams.
