BUDDING stars of the stage and screen are being invited to attend a drama academy being held at Sir John Deane’s College.

The academy is open to children aged from eight to 16 years and gives them the chance to learn about TV acting, stage combat, mime, improvisation and theatre design.

The course is run in 10 weekly workshops and there will be a performance at the end of the project.

A college spokeswoman said: “The drama academy is fun and helps build confidence – as well as being a great way to make new friends.

“Boys and girls wishing to take part do not need any previous acting experience – just an eagerness to perform.”

The classes take place on Wednesday at the college, on Monarch Drive, Northwich, from 4.45pm to 6.15pm.

The first session is tonight, but bookings can be made for the remainder of the course. Call 01606 46011.
