A SPATE of burglaries in Neston are being investigated by police, who believe they are all linked.
Community buildings have been targeted by thieves in a number of break-ins in the town in the past week.
At 2.40am on Thursday, July 12, Brooklands Primary School in Parkgate was burgled.
Two laptops were stolen after thieves smashed a window with a brick to climb in.
Between 9.45pm on July 12 and 11am on July 13, Neston Christian Fellowship in Little Neston was also broken into, but nothing was taken.
On July 14, at about 2am, Neston High School was next to be targeted.
A glass door was shattered and food stolen from the fridges.
At about 4.05am the next day Ness Gardens was broken into and an air weapon is believed to have been stolen.
A burglary was also committed at the allotments on Raby Park Road, with several sheds broken into.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Police are taking this matter very seriously and have increased night patrols of the area accordingly.”
