Bunbury Aldersey Primary School is the best in Cheshire East

Children at Bunbury Aldersey Primary School celebrate their league table performance

Pupils at Bunbury Aldersey Primary School are celebrating making it to first position in The Times school league tables for Cheshire East primary schools.

The tables show how well the Year 6 pupils performed in maths, reading and writing.

Bunbury pupils came top in Cheshire East and 151st out of thousands nationwide.

In addition to these fantastic results Ofsted categorised the school as outstanding in the last inspection.

As well as excellent academic results the school participates in a huge variety of extra-curricular activities.

Recently pupils have taken part in (and won) inter-school cross country races, raised money for various charities with their own entrepreneurial and innovative ideas, and performed two Christmas plays complete with song, dance and live music.
