A LEAKED list of British National Party members names more than 30 supporters from Ellesmere Port and Neston.

The 2007 members’ list, posted on an internet blog last week, includes the names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and occupations of about 12,000 people.

A court injunction by the BNP prohibits our parent company Trinity Mirror from publishing the list in full. But it reveals that local alleged members include a gardener, a bricklayer, a doctor, a professor, an author, a civil servant, ex-forces personnel, a post master and mistress, an engineer and a university graduate.

The members, some allegedly describing themselves as activists, live in Farndon, Mickle Trafford, Ince, Frodsham, Broughton, Blacon, Hoole, Great Sutton, Huntington, Newton, Tarporley, Saltney, Little Sutton and Neston.

Our sister paper The Chester Chronicle spoke to one of the local members named in the leaked list.

He said: “People are proud to be part of the BNP as they care about the country. We are proud of this country and we want to get it back to the way it was instead of a failed mix of multiculturalism. We don’t hate foreigners. We have perfectly sensible policies.

“People are terrified of joining the BNP because they know they will be ostracised. We live in a free country not a Nazi state.”

Another local member added: “I was a member about four years ago but it lapsed. I am thinking of re-joining.

“I think the information is being released on purpose.

“We are being watched from everywhere.”
