CHILDREN from Mostyn House School in Parkgate observed a two-minute silence on the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

This was followed by a peal of the carillon of bells which is a memorial to the boys from the school who fell in this war.

All of the children, who come not only from this country but also as far away as America, Brazil, Germany, Japan, Hungary, Finland, Argentina, Holland, Thailand, Greece and Turkey, learn about the importance of remembrance day in their history lessons.

A special service was also held in the school chapel on Remembrance Sunday.
