AUTUMN courses are starting at Neston Community and Youth Centre this autumn.

The Embroiderers Guild will run a City and Guilds course in embroidery led by Sue Sercombe, who has 25 years of experience in teaching hand and machine embroidery, batik, fabric dyeing and papercrafts.

Professional session singer Paula Prytherch will be giving adult singing classes and directing the Neston Kidz Choir, comprising singers aged from seven-12.

Paula, who has worked with Ringo Starr, Seal, Jon Bon Jovi and Brian Eno. She has sung for the Queen and Prince Charles and with Liverpool choir Sense of Sound on BBC One talent show Last Choir Standing, said: “You don’t need experience, just enthusiasm – it’s for everyone who likes to sing.”

For aspiring film-makers, James Chalmers will teach how to make low-budget short films. James writes for stage and screen and won two awards at the American Moondance International Film Festival.
