TWO local artists are taking part in the 14th annual Cheshire Open Studios event.

The festival, featuring 36 professional studios across the county, is a unique chance to meet artists, to discover how and where they produce their work and to buy from them directly.

Angela Ruth Kennedy, whose studio is on Red Lion Lane, Little Sutton, produces beautiful bespoke jewellery, handcrafted using silver, gold and precious and semi-precious stones.

Angela is also happy to open by appointment and offers workshops, talks and demonstrations.

Her studio provides tuition and commissions are welcome.

In Ledsham village, Julie McLean, who is based at The Sandpiper Studio, Foxes Farm, Badgers Rake Lane, works mainly in watercolour and acrylic drawing inspiration from landscapes, nature and wildlife.

Both artists are open on Saturday, October 1, and Sunday, October 2, from 10-5pm.
