APPROVAL was granted for a garage at a detached bungalow in Little Neston.

No objections to the application, put forward by Mrs W Owens at 52 Bendee Road, were raised by Neston Town Council.

Neighbours sought clarification from planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council about overlooking of a bedroom and bathroom if a 2m fence between the two properties was removed.

Planners said that to ensure there was no loss of privacy or overlooking in the future, obscure glazing should be used.

The attached garage at the side of the bungalow would meet the guidelines, they felt.

The design of the extension would reflect the original property.

There would be no unacceptable loss of privacy for neighbours or overshadowing or overlooking.

The application was recommended for approval as the garage would not have a detrimental effect on residential amenity.

The council agreed that Mrs Owens could have permission for her plans.
