VOLUNTEERS who want to collect money for Clatteridge while soaking up the race-day atmosphere are needed.
Clatterbridge Your Cancer Centre is sending out teams of volunteers to Chester and Aintree race meetings this year, including the Grand National on Saturday, April 14, Gold Cup Day at Chester on Saturday, May 6, and Jubilee Day at Chester on Wednesday, June 6.
Community fundraising manager, Jade Barrett, said: “Collecting at these exciting events is a great opportunity for us to join in the race day celebrations and raise money to benefit Clatterbridge cancer patients across the region.
“In the past similar collections have raised more than £2,000, and if enough volunteers come forward we can make these days even more successful!”
Clatterbridge Your Cancer Centre is now looking for volunteers who are free on April 14, May 6 and June 6, from 11am-2pm or 4-6pm to help with the collections.
Volunteers will work in pairs around the racecourses, so will be in the perfect position to soak up the race-day atmosphere.
