TV writer and producer Phil Redmond and his wife Alexis have opened newly refurbished facilities at Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.

After months of fundraising and planning, the new reception and outpatient department was officially opened on Tuesday, September 2 with Alexis cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Tarporley War Memorial Hospital has been caring for the community since 1919, and they are totally committed to delivering high quality healthcare for local people. Feedback from users of the facility has been really positive and it is hoped that additional use can be made of the upgraded clinical rooms. So far they have had the addition of ultrasound services every Thursday and a new frailty clinic run by a community geriatrician is starting on Wednesday, September 17. They now look to the future and a vision to improve facilities for in-patients by providing healthcare and wellbeing requirements that will suit the local community today and tomorrow.
