It's January and the threat of snow is never far away, despite the recent mild weather.
But whether or not the area you live in has been coated in a blanket of the white stuff, we thought it would be a nice idea to dig out some pictures of Chester in the snow in years gone by.
The pictures have been provided to us through kind permission of Chester History and Heritage Centre , local historian Len Morgan and Mike Penney.
Some are from that famous winter of 1963-64 that the River Dee froze over but many other are missing dates.
