Consultant radiographer Judith Kelly cycled 40km in the Cheshire Cycletta Race starting in Tatton Park.

Her team of three raised more than £600 for the Breast Care Unit fund at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

After the event Judith, who lives in Cuddington, said: “We thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Cycletta, there was fantastic camaraderie and it was great to be doing something we all enjoy whilst fundraising for a worthwhile cause at the same time. We’re hoping to do the 80K next year!”

Kathy Kenney, community and events fundraiser, added: “This was a great effort and we were delighted that Judith won the Facebook competition run by our fundraising team in conjunction with the Cycletta organisers MacMillan which meant that she had her entry fee refunded as a prize!”

Macmillan Cycletta is the UK’s leading series of women-only bike rides and is supported by Olympic Gold Medallist Victoria Pendleton.
