A Pink Collar Boxing event is to be held in Chester on Sunday (April 10) with one competitor raising money for a Chronicle-backed cause.
Bahareh Ahmadi has signed up to the event, to be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Trinity Street at 3pm, following eight weeks of training.
She will be raising funds for Chronicle-backed Miles of Smiles, a charity which takes terminally ill, sick and disabled local children on the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.
Bahareh said: "I chose Miles of Smiles as I knew this was a charity close to my late father-in-law's heart.
"Being a mother myself, I could never dream of my daughter becoming ill. Miles of Smiles provides children with a holiday of a lifetime and every little bit helps going towards these trips."
People can donate to Bahareh's fundraiser via her JustGiving page.
Since its inception, Pink Collar Boxing has seen more than 3,000 women sign up to raise more than £250,000 for local and national charities. It is tailored to women who are looking to tone up, gain confidence, raise money for good causes and have their family chanting their name.
