Thousands of Santas took to the streets of Chester on Sunday, December 4 for the 6th annual Chester Santa Dash.

Over 2000 runners of all ages dressed in Santa suits to raise money for Hospice of the Good Shepherd and the Babygrow Appeal at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Community and events fundraiser at the Countess Kathy Kenney said: "We had a great day so thank you all for joining in the fun – whether you dashed or helped with the organisation of the event – all our marshals are superheroes, Santa would be proud of them!

"I would also like to thank Virgin Money who sponsored the event and had a stand at the end giving out sweets and gifts to dashers and to Costco, who gave out water at the end. It was super to have Gavin Matthews from Dee Radio reporting live at the Finish line too!”"

Events manager at the Hospice Stefan Robertson added: "It was great to see Jawad Adekoya from Cheshire Phoenix Basketball Team start the Dash off along with ChELFie and ELFie from CH1 BID, Lupus from Chester FC, the Brio Bear and Chester the Cat from Dee Radio."
