Kind-hearted members of the community are supporting a family who have just lost their nine-year-old boy in a tragic car accident.

Jaiden Gill, from Manchester, was travelling with his dad and brother when their car overturned on the A5117 at Elton on Sunday.

Friends of the family have created a GoFundMe page with the aim of giving the little boy the 'best send off ever'.

Jaiden, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

His 15-year-old brother and dad, 42, both remain in hospital following the collision.

Emily Mem Reavey, who created the page with aim of raising £4,000 to help Jaiden's family, wrote: “This is to give Jaiden’s family a helping hand in making his final journey all it can be with a little less worry. Anything you can give is going to be an amazing help so thank you in advance everyone. We all know his mother would go above and beyond to make sure this happens anyway but I feel we can all strive to make this happen with her.”

Jaiden’s family have been left distraught by the tragedy and spoke about the funding page, saying: “We just want to give him the best send off ever.”

Officers from Cheshire Roads Policing team are investigating the fatal accident involving a dark blue Ford Focus which happened on the A5117 near Chester Services about 3.55pm on Sunday July 31.
