THE BBC has been holding auditions in Upton Village Hall.

Fifteen children from the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy auditioned for the children’s TV programme Nina and the Neurons.

The six and seven-year-olds performed before a camera crew for the chance to be chosen for two days of studio and location filming.

Nina and the Neurons is a BAFTA award winning show with science at its core.

Academy principal Jenny Waldron said: “It is a fantastic opportunity for our students to put into practice the skills that they have been perfecting every week.

“I’m very proud of all of them and wish them all good luck. Successful students will be filming early next year.”

The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy holds classes in Upton by Chester, Great Boughton, Mancot, Mold, Holywell, Heswall and Great Sutton.
