A WOMAN who landed her job in a luxury hotel through a Chester Chronicle advert is celebrating 20 years of service
Jackie Davies has made 49,000 beds and vacuum cleaned 500,000 square metres of carpet in a career spanning two decades at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa.
Now Jackie’s 20 years of service has been recognised with a long service award and presentation.
The Chester mum-of-one celebrated the landmark with colleagues and friends at a champagne reception in the hotel’s Aldford suite.
She started out as a part time chamber maid at the five star luxury hotel and worked her way up through the ranks to become a housekeeper.
Jackie said: “I can’t believe it’s been 20 years because it seems like yesterday that I started work at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa.
“I have made a lot of friends working here over the years. I love meeting people.”
