Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault outside a takeaway in Chester.

The incident happened at 6.55pm on Friday, May 8 outside the Hoole Indian Takeaway & Restaurant on Charles Street, Hoole and it is believed the victim, a 66-year-old local man, received serious head injuries.

A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and police are keen to speak to anyone who visited the restaurant on that night and saw anything suspicious or that might have been connected with the alleged assault.
