The snow has arrived, the ice rink frozen and gifts sit in Santa’s Grotto sacks awaiting the arrival of visitors for Chester Racecourse’s festive event, Winter Wonderland.

Visitors to this year’s event will witness a magical transformation of the racecourse complete with new attractions including; a North Pole Village before entering Santa’s Grotto, complete with animatronics, a land train, Black Light Puppet Theatre, Christmas craft workshop, Grosvenor Boulevard shopping and a new vodka ice bar where visitors need to wear specially made capes to keep warm.

Some favourite attractions from 2013 will be making a re-appearance and are back by popular demand. These include; Santa’s real reindeer, real ice ice skating rink, dining with characters, Santa’s grotto and many fairground rides.

The festive experience is open from Thursday to Sunday weekly from November 14 (check website for opening days). Admission costs £5 for a season pass which can be used for multiple visits and includes free car parking when purchased online. Child admission is £3 for children aged 3-12. To avoid disappointment, the racecourse advises booking all attractions online.
