REINDEER are among the star attractions at a yuletide market which is being held in Blacon today (Thursday).

The winter market at Blacon High School will include meeting and feeding real reindeer, making tree decorations which can be taken home, festive stalls, performances from Dee Sign Choir, Blacon Infant and High School and much more.

This event, which is free to attend, is being supported by Blacon High School and sponsored by Avenue Services, a ground-breaking social enterprise in Blacon which is a collaboration between Chester & District Housing Trust and Cheshire West & Chester Council.

Avenue Services’ community development worker Gemma Capewell said: “This is the first Christmas for Avenue Services, which we wanted to celebrate in style with real reindeer.”

The Winter Market is at Blacon High School from 4-8pm.
