There are whisperings that Britain is set to bask in the warmest weekend we've had for more than a month.
But Cestrians shouldn't get their hopes up because temperatures may be high but there's plenty of rain forecast too.
So if you are heading for Chester Races, Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre, Moonlight Flicks or any of the many summer fetes and carnivals taking place across the Chester area this weekend, make sure you are prepared.
Saturday will see highs of 20°C and periods of heavy rain and strong winds, while the mercury will reach a maximum of 19°C on Sunday.
A mixture of sunshine and showers will dominate early next week, with showers likely to be heavy and thundery at times, according to the Met Office.
