Hairdressing students from West Cheshire College have had a taste of Parisian style after visiting the fashion capital of the world.

The lucky group of students, all studying level 3 and 4 qualifications in hairdressing, were whisked away to the Wella World Studio to learn  from the best in the business.

Hot on the heels of Paris Fashion Week, the students experienced the latest trends in hair colour as well as seeing cut and style demonstrations with real models.

Vicky Fay, 19, from Ellesmere Port, who is studying advanced practice and management in hairdressing at the college, said: “It was absolutely fantastic and I now understand about Wella colour ID and how it allows you to place colour next to colour without it running.

“I also learnt a lot about Paris and it was great for the tutors to arrange such an amazing trip.”

The trip was one of many organised by the college to enhance all students’ knowledge and enable them to gain practical experience.

As part of an additional trip planned by the college, a group of level 2 hairdressing students were  also taken to experience the Wella Studios in London.

Hairdressing lecturer Lesley Durham, said: “I really wanted to give the students an exciting trip.

“Paris is known as the fashion capital of the world, so it was the perfect place for students to experience all the latest trends.”
