Police have issued CCTV footage of two people they wish to speak to after a spate of arson attacks during the early hours of Tuesday, January 12, in Ellesmere Port .

Five vehicles and the front door of a house across Church Lane, Seacombe Drive, Rostherne Avenue and Peckforton Drive were set alight.

No members of the public were injured but it is suspected the offender may have received scorch marks or smelled of petrol when they returned home.

Two people were arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Appeal for information

Investigating officers have viewed CCTV and are keen to speak to the people in the footage as they believe they might have information that could help their enquiries.

DS Rob Grantham said: "We are keen to speak to the people pictured in the footage as part of our enquiries into this incident.

"I would like to appeal to anyone in the CCTV stills, or anyone who recognises the people pictured, to contact police.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who has recently had a petrol canister or fuel stolen but has not yet contacted police.”
