A TEENAGER is asking Chronicle readers to vote for her to win a Next modelling competition.

Rachael Edwards from Westbourne Road, Blacon, has the looks and the brains after recently becoming a published author – at the age of just 18.

Rachael, who stands at 5ft 9in, has always wanted to be a model. The self-confessed ‘geek’, who loves gaming, said: “I enjoy fashion and I would like to prove that you don’t have to be a carbon copy typical model.”

The former Blacon High School pupil lives with her mum Jackie, dad Kevin, dog Chester and cat Sandi.

Until recently she was an apprentice in the press office of Cheshire West and Chester Council but has just got a job as an editorial assistant for Sustainable Government.

Her debut novel Bloodlust, a dark supernatural fantasy, is now available in paperback.

She enjoys music, including rock band Green Day, and enjoys singing herself.

The two winners of the Make Me the Next Model 2011 competition will enjoy a £2,000 shopping spree at Next, the chance to star in a photo-shoot and a special introduction to leading model agency, Storm.
