A new video has been created to encourage people to visit Chester this October half term.
To help out ideas-strapped parents during the autumn break, Family and Friends Railcard has compiled a video which shows local people and visitors revealing why they love Chester and their favourite things to do in the local area.
The video describes the culture and friendly atmosphere, as well as tips for the best spots to visit for families in Chester.
Railcards product manager from National Rail Daniela Maki said: “This half term we wanted to encourage families to visit Chester and give parents inspiration for a fun day trip or afternoon out.
“If you’re planning a trip to Chester this half term, or a day out with the kids anywhere across Britain, the Family and Friends Railcard saves you cash, helps you and your family visit interesting places and spend money on the things you enjoy the most.
“We hope the video will inspire families to venture out this half term to explore their local area and take advantage of everything Chester has to offer.”
For just £30 a year, the Family & Friends Railcard provides a third off most adult rail fares and 60% off kids fares. On average, railcard users save £130 annually, making it worth over four times as much as it costs.
Plus, in addition to saving on travel costs, the Family and Friends Railcard offers discounts on theatre tickets and days out.
