TILSTON Folk Music Club is born again on the fourth of July.

The club, which hosted several big name musicians from the folk/blues circuit during the 90s, is making a comeback.

Musician Geoff Edwin-Scott, the club's original master of ceremonies, will once again front the weekly Tuesday night gathering in the Carden Arms, Tilston, at 8pm. He will joined by several regular performers for sing-ers' nights, with occasional star guests.

Geoff said: 'It will be great to be back after several years' absence.

'We had a very successful club for a long time, so we hope to welcome back many of our former regulars as well as give new singers and acoustic musicians a chance to display their musical talents.

'The first few weeks will be purely singers' night, when anyone can get up if they wish. We will have a programme of guest nights and we expect to book some very well-known acts.'

Entrance is free on singers' nights while on guest nights there will be a charge on the door. For more information contact Steve Hobman on 01829 250502.
