A village drama group is celebrating after pulling off another award.

Guilden Sutton Players is over the moon after receiving the National Operatic and Drama Association North West award for ‘Best Drama 2013’ for their production of the English girls boarding school comedy ‘Daisy Pulls It Off’.

The production was directed by Simon Johnson and Anna Morris in November 2012.

A small group from the cast of the production travelled to Blackpool for the award ceremony.

They included Tiz Corcoran, who was also nominated as best supporting actress.

“The group is very thrilled to have been successful yet again, having won and been nominated in various categories over the past few years,” said publicity secretary Anna Morris.

The Players are in action tonight (Thursday) until Saturday in Guilden Sutton Hall with ‘Ladies Day’ when four fish filleting friends head off to Ascot Races in York.

A mixture of hilarious comedy and dramatic twists emerges as the fish gutters meet the caviar crowd in the enclosure.

Tickets £10 / £8 are available from guildensuttonplayers.ticketsource.co.uk.
