Utkinton Primary School is top of the class

BRAINY pupils of Utkinton St Paul’s Primary School came out on top in a general knowledge quiz.

The youngsters were competing in the Year 5/6 general knowledge quiz held at Bunbury Primary School at the end of last half-term.

The teams of four children played against other school teams from across the Sandstone Partnership, including Tarporley High School, and were tested in a range of subject areas, achieving a score of 54 out of 60.

Teacher Gareth Coyne said: “This was a fantastic achievement and it provided an opportunity for our children to show that they have a rich and broad general knowledge.

“They represented our school with pride and were delighted to be declared winners.”
