Pupils at Upton Heath CE Primary School celebrated the start of the 2014 World Cup with their own Race for Life, to support cancer research.

Every child contributed £1 towards coming to school either in a football kit or in pink – or both!

Throughout the day each year group ran their own Race for Life and took part in a ‘beat the keeper’ game.

Each child received a medal for their efforts, the PTA provided drinks and children made and sold cakes with a football or pink theme.

More than £1,116 was raised for Cancer Research UK.
