Two women have been arrested following a drugs raid in Blacon.

Officers swooped on the property in Tennyson Walk on Wednesday (January 28).

Two women, aged 49 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply.

They were released on police bail and are due to report back to Blacon Custody Suite on Friday May 22.

The warrant was executed as part of Operation ImpACT, one of the largest ever operations undertaken by Cheshire Constabulary which has seen more than 30 people arrested since its launch last July.

Inspector Brian Green, of Chester Outer Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “The execution of this warrant demonstrates that drug dealing will not be tolerated in Chester, and we will take robust action against any persons who we believe to be dealing drugs.

“I urge anyone who is concerned about drug dealing in their local community to contact Cheshire Police on 101, alternatively information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
