Pop royalty will help launch a new bar at one of Chester’s most popular clubs.

Scott Robinson and Abz Love from the boyband Five will make a special appearance at Rosie’s tonight (Thursday, February 27) for the official preview night of Popworld - the late-night bar sensation that features classic pop songs, quirky cocktails and VIP booths.

Chester is the latest city to welcome Popworld, which replaces 90s bar Babylon on the ground floor at Rosie’s, and it’s a concept that’s proved hugely popular in cities across the UK.

Dave Cooper, general manager of Rosie’s, said: “Popworld is a craze sweeping the nation and I am really excited that the concept is coming to Chester.

“Popworld is on the first floor of Rosie’s so it will be the first thing customers see when they get to the venue.

“This will be our window to the rest of the venue.

“The Poptails and cocktail offer is different to the rest of Rosie’s so it is unique offer on that floor of the venue. "

The bar officially opens its doors to the public tomorrow night (Friday) at 9pm.

Customers will be able to take advantage of a new state-of-the-art sound system, LED illuminated floor and VIP booths with table service throughout the night.

There is also a new shots and cocktail menu featuring classic ‘poptails’ like ‘Sex on the Beach’, ‘American Cream Soda’ and ‘Love Hearts’.

The investment in the site, which is owned and operated by the  Stonegate Pub Company, totals more than £120,000.

Local businesses can have a first look at the bar on Friday before the doors open to the public.

To book, customers can either contact Popworld directly or book online at VIP@rosieschester.com

Popworld will be open Monday to Thursday from 10pm until the early hours and on Friday to Saturday from 9pm to the early hours. Rosie’s opens seven nights a week.
